HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Well it´s been a while since i updated the news because i havent raced so much because of a back injury, but hopefully now it´s getting better and better so I can start again. The temperature is perfect between 5-15 below so the dogs are noisy and eager to come out and work. This season we have got some snow and has had the opportunity to use our sled, and what a feeling that is when you are used to the 4 wheel cart! hope you all have a great new year ahead of you!

So it's finally been cold enough to the racing season 09/10 has started! It takes place in the early morning or late evening when the temperature is below 15 degrees. In the new racing season I get the opportunity to film our trips it will be posted on the network at a time. So GOOD race season for all!

8-3-09:

Now the dogs from Norway has arrivede and everything has gone better than hoped! Is now a functioning group of Huskies! We've been out and pull tires with all Huskies and our 2 mallamutes and it went really considering that we had in Bela lead with Blaze, Tori worked really really well and she continues to do that she fits perfectly with the Blaze and the Bandit who also works extremely well, Bela obeyed the various commands for the most part, of course its not easy when she has learned the commands on the Norwegian =) but we'll find out eventually!

More Braun Than Brain

Malamutter
To tell you the truth, I actually have 2 malamutes, as said more braun than brain! They are the muscles in the team and pulls everything you ask `s them to, or they will try at least!.

Malamute is incredible lovely soft and warm animals and they will do anything for you without blinking! It was my little Contribute to the Malamute what there must also be room for! The lovely big fluffy teddy bears!

Here is some info about the Siberian Husky, and why it's about Huskies is because it is the dog I use most and will use in the future!

     *
A Siberian Husky (SH) is probably one of the most beautiful breeds in existence. The wolves VERY arctic sled dog is a medium sized dog. Specified. breed standard (FCI) is the max height of 60 cm for males and 56 cm for females and all colors and markings are permissible. Although eye color can vary from almost white against the blue, they can be yellow, green and all shades to dark brown. It is not uncommon with different colored eyes.
     *
Breed's homeland is the U.S., but originally comes from the north-eastern Russia, Chukotka. Here were the dogs used by normadefolket Chuckie! In 1930 the breed was recognized in the U.S., and the first SH came to Denmark in 1968.
     *
A SH is primarily a working dog - a unique sled dog. It is a quick, frugal, industrious, persevering and elegant sled dog who also may constitute a super family dog.
     *
A SH does rarely. It makes for example. not - as many other races - when there is someone making it quite unsuitable as a watchdog. It is a very happy and affectionate dog, which generally sees all that welcome! Often we hear the wail a la a wolf.
     *
It is important that you are aware that it is very rarely possible to have an SH go free. They must always be on a leash, like a 2m high fence on the garden and farm dogs are often a must!
